Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE): Maintenance, Repair, and Inspection at Aviano Air Base, Italy
Under a full-maintenance agreement, the contractor assumes responsibility for inspections, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and routine and emergency service calls for the listed vertical transportation equipment at Aviano Air Base. Emergency response covers failures that threaten personnel, property, or operations; three facilities are mission-critical, and the mechanic may assist the Aviano Air Base Fire Department with trapped-passenger extrication. The contract also requires a two-year warranty on repairs and system implementation work and annual emergency-maneuver training for the fire department.
