The meeting centered around a weekly chapel service. The main address focused on scripture from James, encouraging attendees to be swift to hear and slow to speak, and to be doers of the word. The speaker also introduced guests from TCPS in Tupelo, Mississippi. The majority of the session was dedicated to a sermon by guest speaker Dr. Jim Futrell, Executive Director Treasurer Emeritus of the Mississippi Baptist Convention. Dr. Futrell spoke on the importance of heeding God's word and purpose, referencing the first recorded words of Jesus in Luke Chapter 2: "I must be about my Father's business," and Proverbs 3:5-6 concerning trusting in the Lord's plan over personal understanding.

Bmc Chapel
The session, referred to as a 'special kind of chapel,' featured an invocation by Randall Lindgren, the Junior Class President. The main presentation was delivered by Dr. Shawn Parker, Executive Director Treasurer of the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board. Dr. Parker, who previously served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Columbus for 17 years, discussed the spiritual battle being waged in the current culture, referencing Ephesians Chapter 6 regarding the armor of God. Key discussion points involved identifying the enemy (Satan) and his tools (deception, desire, discouragement) and tactics (timing: attacking when tired, bored, or proud). The importance of being prepared for the battle by utilizing the armor of God, such as the belt of truth and breastplate of righteousness, was emphasized. Worship was led by Tommy Walker, a singer, songwriter, and speaker who has written over 200 songs.
